This summer campers will travel around the globe visiting new and unique countries everyday without ever leaving camp! Campers will learn about traditions, culture, games, songs, and more from the corners of the world during the 2009 'Amazing Race - A worldwide adventure"

- CAMP TANAGER was established in 1926 so children could participate in a summer camp experience regardless of financial circumstances. Camp Tanager is administered by Tanager Place and is supervised by a Camp Director. In addition to the 7 week long sessions offered each summer, Camp Tanager also hosts a Diabetes Camp for children with Diabetes ages 7-14 years, and a Hemophilia Camp for children ages 6-17 years with Hemophilia or other bleeding disorders. Camp Tanager continues to grow and enhance it's summer program for boys and girls in the Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.
